Building an Organic Content Funnel on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Facebook

Content6 min readBy Team

Organic content means posts people see without you paying for ads. For a service business it works slowly, but it builds trust, and it keeps working after you stop posting for the day. The problem for most owners is not knowing what to post or why. This article gives you a simple structure.

Think in three stages

A funnel is just the path a stranger takes to become a customer. For social content, three stages are enough.

  • Attention: short posts that make the right person stop. A quick tip, a before and after, a common mistake.
  • Trust: posts that show how you work. A walk through of a job, answers to questions customers ask, the people on your team.
  • Action: posts that say what to do next. How to book, what a first call looks like, a link to your quote or contact page.

Most business accounts only post the third kind, and wonder why nobody responds. Strangers need the first two before they will care about the third.

Pick platforms by audience

You do not have to be on all four. Choose by who you sell to.

  • Instagram and TikTok suit short video and visual work: trades, detailing, food, beauty, home services.
  • Facebook suits local communities, older homeowners and groups. It is also where many local reviews and recommendations live.
  • LinkedIn suits businesses that sell to other businesses: accounting, logistics, agencies, software.

Start with one or two. Do them steadily for three months before adding another.

Make one idea into many posts

Record one useful answer, say how to tell if a water heater is failing, and you have a video for Instagram and TikTok, a text post for LinkedIn, and a photo post for Facebook. Batch the work: spend one afternoon a week filming, and schedule the rest. That is more reliable than posting when you remember.

Send people somewhere useful

Every profile needs a clear link to a page that does one job: get a quote, book a call, or ask a question. Check it works on a phone. Then watch which posts lead to messages and visits, and make more of those. Likes are pleasant, but enquiries pay the bills.
